PUBLIC SMS CONSENT FLOW

How homeowners request text-message assistance

Pick Up the Job is a service of Velocity Group LLC that assists participating contractors with inbound service requests.

Missed-call consent process

  1. A homeowner calls a participating contractor’s published business number.
  2. The contractor’s team has the first opportunity to answer the call.
  3. If the call is not answered, the caller hears: “To receive text messages from Pick Up the Job about your service request for [Contractor Name], press 1. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to opt out.”
  4. The caller may press 1 to request the text or may hang up and receive no automated text.
  5. Only after the caller presses 1, Pick Up the Job sends a confirmation identifying Pick Up the Job and the participating contractor. The message states that frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and the recipient may reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.

What the messages cover

The conversation is limited to the service request the homeowner initiated. It may collect the requested service, service address, name, optional notes, and scheduling information. It does not enroll the homeowner in promotional marketing.

Choice and withdrawal

Consent is optional. Declining text messages does not prevent the homeowner from contacting or hiring the contractor. Reply STOP at any time to end messages from the sending number. Reply HELP for assistance.

Contractor team alerts

Contractor owners and team members provide their alert mobile numbers during onboarding and separately authorize operational lead-summary messages. They may reply STOP to end alerts.
