Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to Pick Up the Job, a missed-call response and lead-intake service for contractors.

Service

Pick Up the Job provides call-routing, automated text intake, contractor notifications, scheduling visibility, and lead tracking. The service does not guarantee that a lead will respond, book, purchase, or generate any particular revenue.

Customer responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate business information, maintain lawful call-forwarding arrangements, obtain any permissions required for their personnel, and use the service only for legitimate inbound service inquiries. Customers remain responsible for their services, estimates, safety decisions, insurance statements, and communications with homeowners.

Messaging and consent

Operational texts are sent in response to a homeowner’s call or message and to contractor alert recipients authorized during setup. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients may reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Customers may not use the service for purchased lists or unsolicited marketing.

Billing and cancellation

Monthly plans renew monthly. Annual plans renew annually. Charges are collected in advance through Stripe. Customers may cancel future renewal before the next billing date. Fees already paid are nonrefundable except where required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

Availability and limitations

Telephone carriers, messaging providers, internet services, and third-party platforms may delay or interrupt delivery. Automated classifications and summaries can be incomplete or incorrect. Customers must maintain human oversight for urgent conditions, pricing, insurance, safety, and final scheduling.

Data and security

We use reasonable safeguards and limit each contractor account to its own data. Customers must protect account credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pick Up the Job is not liable for lost jobs, missed messages, carrier failures, indirect damages, or decisions made from automated information. Total liability is limited to fees paid for the service during the three months preceding the claim.
